Many plastic containers are recyclable, but accepted types vary from city to city in Orange County. Check with your local waste hauler for specific instructions, including types of plastics accepted. Always practice recycling right by keeping any containers empty, clean and dry to avoid contamination.

Other Recycling Programs

If your local recycling program doesn’t accept all plastic containers and you know they are made of polypropylene, consider the Preserve Gimme 5 program, where you can recycle all #5 plastics by mail.
