Lightbulbs, String Lights

OPTIONS:

Incandescent lightbulbs cannot be recycled and should be thrown out in your regular trash bin. LED lightbulbs can be recycled for free at Household Hazardous Waste Collection Centers for OC residents. The centers are open Tuesday through Saturdays from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. (excluding rain events and major holidays). For more information, call 714-834-4000.

Holiday Lights

The same criteria applies to holiday lights. LED holiday/string lights can be recycled at any HHW Collection Center above. Incandescent lights or decorations are landfill waste. Light-up lawn ornaments (Frosty's etc.) are also considered landfill waste if not appropriate for donation.
